Polly Grimes Town Hall Lecture Series

Polly Grimes Town Hall was founded by Polly Grimes and Blanche Witherspoon in 1954. Miss Grimes became the sole proprietor in 1962 and presented four speakers from around the world each year, hiring Jean Hodges as her assistant in 1977, until selling it to her in 1991. Renaming the series, Town Hall of Denver, Jean has presented five to six lectures per year. In keeping with Jean’s tradition, speakers are chosen by the audience via a ballot, which is a combination of audience nominations as well as various speakers’ bureaus around the nation, and is tabulated every spring. Emphasis of topics includes foreign affairs, current events, literature, history, health issues, humor and quality of life. We welcome any and all as members!
